We believe creativity brings people together.
The Social Bluebird began with a simple observation: something happens when people make things side by side. Conversations soften. Strangers become tablemates. Time slows down. The project is almost beside the point — what people take home is each other.
Small tables. Real hands. Better conversations.
We live in a stretch of history where most of what we buy is finished, most of what we watch is passive, and most of the people we know are one screen away. Making something small with your hands — pressing a flower, wiring a bonsai, arranging stems in a teacup — is a quiet act of the opposite. It's tactile. It's slow. And it happens best next to other people.
That's the whole idea. We build ninety-minute windows where a group can gather around a beautifully set table, learn a small new skill, and leave with something they made and someone they know a little better.
A studio that travels.
The Social Bluebird is a mobile creative studio based in South Jordan, Utah. We host pop-up workshops at farmers markets, festivals, and community events, and we travel to private homes, offices, neighborhoods, schools, retirement communities, and wherever else creativity is welcome. Our experiences are hands-on and beginner-friendly. Every material is included. Every table is set with intention.
The Airstream is coming.
We're finishing a custom Airstream that will become our signature studio — a rolling gathering place with open awnings, warm wood, botanical styling, and room for a full workshop to happen anywhere she can park. When she's on the road, you'll be able to find her at farmers markets, festivals, weddings, corporate campuses, and quiet neighborhood corners across Utah.
What we're building toward.
More neighborhoods that know each other. More offices that feel like teams. More birthdays that become memories. More gatherings that aren't tied to a screen. A traveling creative studio can't do all of that on its own — but it can start a hundred small conversations that do.
Kaycee and Joclynn.
The Social Bluebird started with a simple instinct — that people are happier when they make something together. We're Kaycee and Joclynn, two friends in Utah who kept catching ourselves saying, "we should host something." Eventually we stopped saying it and started doing it.
These days, you'll find us sourcing teacups from thrift shops across the Wasatch Front, coaxing bonsai back to health, pressing flowers between the pages of old books, and finishing the Airstream that will carry it all somewhere new. Kaycee handles the floral and botanical side of the studio; Joclynn shapes the workshops, the brand, and the road map. We share the gathering.
